Tour Description


You will be picked up at WONCA 2021 Tour Desk at Wyndham Grand Hotel and drive to Thanlyin (approximate 1 hour 30 minutes’ drive). Thanlyin was a Portuguese colonial port during the 17th Century. You will visit Kyaikkhauk Pagoda which is 4 kilometers outside of the town center and it was built the same as Shwedagon pagoda. You will drive to Kyauk Tan which is approximate one-hour drive from Thanlyin and then visit Kyaik Mhaw Wun Yay Lal Pagoda which is situated in the middle of a river. You will be ferried by a boat to Yay Lal Pagoda, where you may enjoy feeding the huge catfishes swimming in water around the pagoda. On the way return to Yangon, you will visit PadaGyi Pagoda in PardaGyi village which is accepted as an ancient palace and small city in history. Then, you will go to Toddy tree area to taste the toddy palm juice and Thabawa Tayar Yeikthar (meditation center for homeless people). You will visit the National Races Village which is next to Thanlyin Bridge and explore more about tradition, culture and living style of various Myanmar’s ethnic group. You will then transfer back to tour desk.
